IFERA - Research Development Workshops

IFERA Research Development Workshops (RDWs) are intended to provide an umbrella for gathering of scholars on a specific topic. RDWs are intended to complement IFERA’s Annual Conferences. A session of three best papers from the RDW are features in the IFERA annual conferences.

The inaugural RDW was held on the topic, “Expanding Family Constructs: Representing and Measuring Family in Family Business Research.”  at Springfield, IL, on October 10, 11 and 12, 2013.

In 2014, the second RDW was held in Vienna on the topic " Involvement, Essence and identity: Developing core constructs in family business research".

The third RDW will be held in Catania, Italy on February 2-4, 2016. The topic is "Family firms and institutional context: Analyzing the role of the context in the development of the family unit for family business research."
