Anneleen Michiels is an Associate Professor of Finance and Family Business at Hasselt University, Belgium. Beyond teaching finance across various levels, she founded and coordinates executive programs for family wealth advisors at the university. Based at the Research Center for Entrepreneurship and Family fims, her research focuses on the influence of money on the family business and the business famly and is published in international academic as well as practitioner-oriented journals. Prior to joining Hasselt University, she held positions at HU Brussels and KU Leuven in Belgium. She is a former Chair of the Strategic Interest Group on Family Business Research at the European Academy of Management (EURAM), a past Scholar in Residence at the Family-Owned Business Institute at Grand Valley State University, and a long-time member and supporter of IFERA.
