Our Structures and Governing Bodies

The IFERA Board aided by an office management team has the overall responsibility of charting the development of this membership organization and for managing its growing portfolio of research initiatives. To make IFERA efficient internally and flexible externally, in operation there are four sub-committees, directed by board members.

Conference & Events sub-committee

This sub-committee is to develop the IFERA Global Conference Model and to promote other regional & national research workshops for PhD students, scholars, and other participants. The committee's scope includes liaising with other academic bodies for the integration of family business tracks in their conferences and events.

External Relations and Development Sub-Committee

This sub-committee is to develop the IFERA marketing and membership strategy.

Research & Publications Sub-Committee

This sub-committee is to map out a strategy to promote externally sponsored joint research projects; to develop a bank of survey instruments and datasets, and to generally facilitate co-operation. This includes building relationships with publishers and journals for special issues and other initiatives, such as research standards.

This sub-committee is to monitor conference attendance, evaluate conference perceptions from members and generate new opportunities for engaging and providing value to members.
