Our Research Development ProgramĀ (RDP) offers IFERA members the opportunity to engage in a developmental journey, promoting a portfolio of integrated and synergic initiatives which respond effectively to the diversity of needs expressed by members at different stages of career and professional development.
With this intent, the Research Development Program is articulated in different tracks: Webinars, Doctoral Consortium and Summer School being the main initiatives. The 2025 Conference will feature a Doctoral Consortium. To participateĀ please check out the individual initiatives below. The Summer School is not necessarily related to the conference, although participation to both is highly recommended.
An in-conference once-a-year event featuring developmental workshops, inspiring talks, networking, and mentoring. Special focus on mid-advanced stage PhD students.
A yearly online program targeted at anyone who would like to engage in a research retreat, to deepen their knowledge in family business research through theories and methods, improving writing skills, networking, and mentoring. Special focus on early-stage PhD students.
A recurring event providing a shared platform for the intellectual exchange of impactful research
The Research Development Program is not just a āonce a yearā appointment. It is the way in which IFERA aims to provide all members with a continuous cycle of developmental initiatives and resources throughout the year, especially far from our annual conference dates
Location: Remote (with opportunities for in-person engagement at conferences and events)
Commitment: Part-time, flexible (aligned with academic schedule)
