Laura Bechthold is postdoctoral researcher at the Friedrichshafen Institute for Family Entrepreneurship (FIF) at Zeppelin University. Before joining FIF, she pursued a PhD at Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU) Munich and was part of the entrepreneurship research group of Prof. Dietmar Harhoff at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition. Her research interests are related to the human factor in entrepreneurial processes, such as personality traits, cognitive biases and non-cognitive skills. For a large-scale field experiment on female entrepreneurial role models, she was awarded with the Best Empirical Paper Award of the Entrepreneurship Division at the Academy of Management Conference 2018, as well as the Best Paper Award of the Diana Research Conference in 2019.
