Torsten Pieper is Associate Professor of Management and Entrepreneurship in the Coles College of Business and Academic Director of the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) Program at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia (USA). His research focuses on family cohesion, governance, and strategy in family business and has been published in a variety of leading academic journals. Several of his research projects have won international awards. Dr. Pieper is the founding co-editor-in-chief of the Elsevier title ‘Journal of Family Business Strategy’, one of only two impact-factored journals dedicated to the study of family firms, and President-elect of IFERA, The International Family Enterprise Research Academy. Born in Germany, Dr. Pieper comes from a family business and was educated internationally. He holds Master of Science degrees from The University of the Saarland (Germany) and EM LYON Business School (France), and a Doctorate from European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel (Germany). He is fluent in German, French and English.
